Shopify Web Design
Online stores designed to sell and grow
A Shopify store should feel like your business - not a generic template with your logo added to it.
Tidal Digital designs and builds Shopify websites that are clear, professional, and practical to manage. We can help you launch a new Shopify store, redesign an existing one, or move from another eCommerce platform.

Shopify stores designed around what you sell
Shopify provides the system behind the store, but the quality of the customer experience still depends on how the website is planned, organised, and designed.
A successful Shopify store needs clear navigation, well-organised collections, useful product information, a straightforward mobile experience, consistent branding, suitable shipping and payment options, and a structure that can grow with the business.
We consider all of these elements as part of the project rather than treating Shopify as a quick theme-installation exercise.
Launching a new Shopify store
If you are preparing to sell online, we can turn your products and business information into a complete Shopify website.
A new Shopify project can include:

Improve the store you already have
Your Shopify store may still function while no longer representing the quality of your business. It might feel dated, be difficult to navigate, or rely on a collection of apps and modifications that no longer work together properly.
A redesign can improve the visual presentation, product organisation, menus, mobile experience, product pages, promotional sections, calls to action, app setup, performance, and everyday store management.
We start by reviewing the current store so useful content, customer behaviour, and existing search visibility are not discarded unnecessarily.

Moving your store to Shopify
Shopify may be a good next step if your current store is difficult to maintain, unreliable, or no longer suitable for the business.
A migration can involve products, variations, collections, images, pages, customers, selected order information, policies, domain configuration, search-engine redirects, analytics, and marketing integrations.
The information that can be transferred depends on the current platform and the quality of the existing data. We assess this before defining the migration scope.

Use apps where they genuinely help
Shopify has an extensive app ecosystem, but installing more apps does not automatically create a better store. Every additional app can add cost, complexity, or performance overhead.
We first look at what Shopify and the selected theme can already do, then recommend additional functionality where it provides a clear benefit. This could include reviews, email marketing, subscriptions, advanced product options, bookings, wholesale features, accounting integrations, loyalty programs, or improved product search and filtering.
Some integrations require third-party subscriptions that are separate from the website project. Known recurring costs will be identified before implementation wherever possible.

How we build your online store

We discuss the products, customers, brand, current systems, and what the store needs to achieve.

Store planning
We plan the pages, collections, navigation, product requirements, and agreed functionality.

We establish the visual direction and design the important customer-facing sections of the store.

Shopify development
The approved direction is built and configured within Shopify using an appropriate theme and the agreed functionality.

Product and checkout testing
We test navigation, product options, cart behaviour, payment settings, shipping rules, forms, and important customer emails.

Training and launch
You receive guidance on managing the store before it is launched on your domain.
Protect the foundations of your search visibility
Shopify includes useful search features, but the store still needs to be planned carefully. Our builds can include a clear page and collection structure, editable titles and descriptions, product content guidance, image optimisation, internal links, redirects, analytics, and Search Console setup.
For established stores, preserving important URLs and redirects is especially important. A redesign should not sacrifice valuable Google visibility simply because the website looks different.

A store you can manage
You should not need to contact a developer every time you want to update a product, change a price, or create a promotion.
Before launch, we can show you how to manage products, collections, orders, discounts, basic content, customers, reports, and everyday store settings. Tidal Digital can remain available for technical changes and ongoing improvements when you need them.

Support from people who know your store
You’ll work directly with the people building your store, with clear communication throughout the project. We’ll explain your options, help you make informed decisions and show you how to manage the finished website. When you need further changes or support, you’ll have someone familiar with your setup to turn to.

Frequently asked questions
Is Shopify right for my business?
Shopify is a good option for businesses wanting an online store with straightforward product and order management. We’ll look at your products, sales process and any special requirements to confirm whether it’s the right fit.
Can you improve my existing Shopify store?
Yes. We can help refresh the design, improve navigation and product pages, or add functionality. We’ll review your existing store and recommend changes based on what you want to achieve.
Can you move my current online store to Shopify?
Yes. We’ll review your existing platform and confirm which products, customer details and order history can be transferred. We’ll also plan redirects for pages whose addresses change and explain any migration limitations before work begins.
Will I be able to manage the store myself?
Yes. You’ll be able to add products, change prices, manage stock and process orders. We’ll provide guidance tailored to your store, often including recorded video walkthroughs you can revisit whenever you need.
Can you connect Shopify with other business tools?
We can help connect your store with tools for accounting, email marketing, shipping and stock management. We’ll check compatibility with your existing systems and explain any app subscriptions or additional setup costs before proceeding.
How long does a Shopify website take to build?
Timing depends on the design, product range and any migration or integration work required. Having your product information and images ready helps keep things moving. We’ll discuss an estimated timeline before we begin, and may be able to accommodate a particular launch date if you let us know early.
What ongoing costs are involved with Shopify?
Your Shopify subscription is separate from our website build fee. Other costs may include domain renewal, payment processing and any paid apps or themes your store uses. We’ll explain the expected costs for your setup so you know what to budget for.
